Teaching Camps" usually last from three days to a week and provide an opportunity for more intensive training. Classes are held from one to five hours daily, according to how a camp is set up. Many such events are held at a college or summer camp where there are facilities for feeding and lodging large numbers of people. Don has taught at events ranging from those with hundreds of participants, like the Swannanoa Gathering and the Appalachian Dulcimer Week at Cullowhee to his own Tao of Dulcimer Retreat which is limited to fifteen. |
